A Jinksy Original |
are neat!
They carry us through the day.
Come what may,
they take the strain,
don't complain,
unless the wear and tear
of unsuitable footwear
causes them grief!
Oh, what a relief
to abandon shoes
before we snooze.
Then we dance our dreams
through, till morning gleams
us awake
and feet take
us on another day trip
'twixt cup and lip
as we drink life down,
turn it around,
maybe.
Once we see
the way to go,
we can tell our feet
"Onwards
and upwards!"
An early morning offering for IGWRT, this Monday.
I love the short lines and the whole zing of this poem.

ReplyDeleteI keep telling my teen, her feet have to carry her all through her life, she needs to take care of them instead of keep getting blisters through flip flops and corns through walking around the house on hard floors in bare feet all the time.
ReplyDeleteNice one and pic too Jinksy.
Well my kids walk barefoot the whole time, they like to feel the wood underneath ~
